Two young men in Assin Fosu became victims of stray bullets during a clash between the police patrol team and alleged marijuana smokers in the area. The clash erupted after the police received a tip about marijuana smokers occupying a specific road and attacking residents in the evening. In response, the police conducted a swoop in the area, leading to a confrontation with the youth involved in the crime and the firing of gunshots.

Unfortunately, two individuals passing by at the time were hit by stray bullets and are currently receiving treatment at the St. Francis Xavier Hospital in Assin Fosu. Some suspects involved in the clash were arrested and are undergoing processing for court proceedings.

The incident highlights the ongoing battle against drug-related crimes and the risks faced by innocent bystanders in such situations. The police’s swift action in responding to community concerns is crucial in maintaining public safety and combating criminal activities.
