Twitter has taken down an account of a Shatta Wale fan who claimed he can track and assassinate Stonebwoy and his manager, Blakk Cedi.
His threat comes following a fracas which ensued onstage during the just ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards at the Accra International Conference Centre.
During Stonebwoy’s acceptance speech for the “Reggae/Dancehall Song of the Year” award, Shatta Wale and his entourage stormed the stage for whatever reason.
The issue quickly escalated, creating a dangerous scene which resulted in the suspension of the show for some minutes.
Fans of both camps were quick to pass their judgements on social media, but one of them went the extra mile.
The Twitter account with the username @slaygee1 promised to track down Stonebwoy and his manager and would take their lives because of Shatta Wale.
“The black cedi guy sef, who be am for Accra here… I go fit monitor this guy then take away his life because of @shattawalegh and I have already said it that if anyone hear say @stonebwoyb has been murdered then Ghanaians should know that I am the one who is responsible [sic],” he tweeted.
A few hours later, some users of the micro-blog reported his account and was taken down immediately.
