TTU final year student found dead in his room

In the Effia-Kwesiminstim Municipality of the Western Region of Ghana, a young man claiming to be a final-year student at Takoradi Technical University (TTU) is reported to have killed himself in his room at West Tanokrom.

However, the said and aforementioned deceased have only been identified as Derrick, who hails from Bogoso.

In Takoradi, and according to precise sources, he was noted to have been found hanging dead from the ceiling fan in the room with a sponge around his neck on Friday.

In addition, co-tenants who have been left in shock over the entire incident said he has not shown any sign of anything as such, and above all, there was nothing wrong with him notably, and he has been in a good relationship with everyone in the house and the entire community.

In addition, one of them, a friend and also a student by the name of Joana, who discovered the lifeless body, said her last encounter with Derrick was on Thursday morning, and he was fine and doing well as expected.

Quoting precisely, “I share a kitchen with him, so I went there on Friday morning and found his phone had been ringing without response. His lifeless body was hanging on the ceiling fan when I went to open his door out of fear,” she cried emphatically.

However, the body of Derrick was conveyed to the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital Mortuary right after the cross-medical examination of personnel from the Takoradi Central Police Station, and the medical team visited the scene.

Meanwhile, investigations have commenced to unravel the whole set of circumstances leading to the death of the aforementioned personality.
