The English footballer who played as a forward for several clubs in England, the United States, Italy, Scotland, and Australia Trevor John Francis died on July 24, 2023, at the age of 69, in Marbella, Spain. He was born in Plymouth, Devon, and educated at Plymouth’s Public Secondary School for Boys. In 1979 he became Britain’s first £1 million player following his transfer from Birmingham City to Nottingham Forest.
