In the wake of his fatal Astroworld concert in November, which was dubbed a “mass casualty event,” Travis Scott canceled his Monday performance at Coney Island to guarantee the safety of the audience.

Fans scaled a lighting truss to get a better view of the “Sicko Mode” rapper, 31, as he performed at The Day Party at The Coney Art Walls.

One of the fans was costumed as Spider-Man, and Scott saw them hanging from the device and told them to get down. The show continued when they complied, according to TMZ.

Footage from the performance reveals circumstances resembling those of Houston’s Astroworld Festival from the previous year, where ten fans were fatally crushed in a huge crowd surge.

Scott claimed that while he was playing in front of 50,000 people, he failed to notice supporters who were collapsing and ambulances. Nevertheless, he has faced numerous legal actions.

Scott has started to perform live again. He performed at the Billboard Music Awards on May 15 with Diddy’s assistance.
