Travis Scott is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer. He was born Jacques Bermon Webster II on April 30, 1991. His stage name is the combination of the first name of one of his musical influences, Kid Cudi, and the name of a beloved uncle (whose real name is Scott Mescudi).
In 2012, Scott inked a publishing agreement with Kanye West’s GOOD Music and his first major-label contract with Epic Records. He agreed to a combined recording deal with Epic and T.I.’s Grand Hustle imprint in April 2013. The mixtape Owl Pharaoh, Scott’s debut full-length effort, was independently released in 2013. Days Before Rodeo, a second mixtape released in 2014, came after it. The popular single “Antidote” from his 2015 studio debut, Rodeo, served as its centerpiece.
