It is a very sad day at Akorabuokrom in the Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region.
A tipper truck that had lost control apparently crashed into a mechanic shop, resulting in an unfortunate loss of three apprentices out of the seven present at the time.
The truck, registered as GT 8425-12, was reported to be coming from Bibiani to Kumasi when the driver, allegedly sped over a ramp and lost control of the vehicle.
The devastating incident occurred as the truck plowed into the shop situated along the roadside.
Reports from bystanders revealed the impact of the collision was immediate and catastrophic.
Three young apprentices tragically lost their lives, while four others sustained severe injuries. The injured apprentices were swiftly rushed to the nearby Nyinahin Government Hospital for urgent medical attention.
Due to the gravity of their conditions, they were subsequently referred to the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for further specialized treatment.
In response to the incident, the Nyinahin Police Command promptly apprehended the driver of the tipper truck, who is now in custody to aid in the ongoing investigation.
