Traci Braxton, a legendary American entertainer, died after a secret cancer struggle.
She died at age 50 after spending the previous year in intensive care as she battled esophageal cancer.
Following many of her sisters’ successful singing careers, they teamed forces to showcase their lives on their reality TV show, Braxton Family Values. The show premiered on WE TV in April 2011.
Traci and her husband also featured on the third season of Marriage Boot Camp. She was also an actor, appearing in films such as The Christmas Lottery and Sinners Wanted.
Her sisters labelled her as a bright light, a wonderful daughter, an amazing sister, a loving mother, wife, grandmother and a respected performer.

In addition to her husband of more than 20 years, Kevin Surratt, and her 26-year-old son, her sisters Trina Braxton, Tamar Braxton, Toni Braxton, and Towanda Braxton survive her.
