Yaya Toure is prepared to advance in his quest to become a manager, and Tottenham is prepared to hire him as a coach in their youth program.
The Ivorian has been a part-time employee of Spurs since the end of last season, but according to reliable sources he is now in line for a permanent position.
Since his retirement three years ago, Toure has worked as a coach, first for the Russian club Akhmat Grozny and then for the Ukrainian club Olimpik Donetsk.
He made allegations about Pep Guardiola’s team selections while they were both at Barcelona, which strained their relationship.
(I eventually began to wonder if it was because of my skin tone. I’m not the only one. Other Barcelona players had posed such questions too) Toure told the media. However, he apologized for his assertions later in 2018.
Despite that apology, the conflict is still obviously unresolved as he admitted earlier this year in an exclusive interview that he hasn’t kept in touch with his former boss.
However, Toure claimed (“I would like to see him. I’ll be overjoyed. It’s important for me to speak with football enthusiasts. I don’t have his phone number, so I haven’t gotten in touch with him.”
