According to speculations, Tottenham is quite optimistic and confident about the completion and the signing of Middlesbrough’s defender Djed Spence this week.
Last season, the 21-year-old right-back excelled on loan at Nottingham Forest.
Djed Spence was instrumental in the club’s return to the Premier League for the first time in over two decades( 23 years). In their run to the FA Cup quarter-finals, he also put in standout performances, most notably against Arsenal and Leicester.
According to rumors, he is now on his way to Tottenham, where he will play in the Champions League rather than the Championships.
Spurs and Boro are nearing an agreement in principle, and they hope to have him signed by the weekend – subject to a medical later this week.
Offers of £10 million dollars and £11 million dollars were all turned down, with the final fee expected to be around £15 million dollars, rising to £20 million dollars with add-ons.
