Track and field athlete from the United States Frentorish “Tori” Bowie excelled in the long jump, 100 meters, and 200 meters. Bowie was born on August 27, 1990, and he passed away on April 23, 2023. As soon as he started attending Pisgah High School, Bowie started competing in track meets for the squad. She was born in Sand Hill, Rankin County, Mississippi.
Bowie won gold and silver in the 100 m at the World Championships in 2015 and 2017. She also took home bronze in the 100 m and silver in the 200 m in the Rio Olympics in 2016. As a member of the American women’s 4 100 m relay teams at the 2016 Olympic Games and 2017 World Championships, she also captured gold in those events.
Bowie began competing in prestigious track & field competitions in 2013. A semi-finalist in the 100 meters at the USATF Championships that year, she narrowly missed making the team for the Moscow World Championships after finishing fourth in the long jump.
