Tony Jones Jr. is a running back with the National Football League’s New Orleans Saints (NFL). Tony Jones Sr. was a fullback and linebacker for Illinois State as well as the Arena Football League’s Cleveland Thunderbolts, Tampa Bay Storm, and Buffalo Destroyers.
Jones attended and played football at Notre Dame College.

Jones attended Notre Dame and majored in Film, Television, and Theatre. During the 2019 collegiate football season, Jones shot his first film, a short film titled “Come Together,” which he co-wrote and produced with classmate Conor Fitzgerald and starring football teammate Ovie Oghoufo and fellow FTT student and theater actor Teagan Earley. The short film premiered at the 2020 Sundial Film Festival in Redding, California.

Jones’ 84-yard touchdown run in the 2019 Camping World Bowl set the record for the longest run in Notre Dame bowl game history. In his senior year, Jones carried for 857 yards and six touchdowns.

Jones was chosen to participate in the 2020 East-West Shrine Game in his hometown of St. Petersburg, Florida, at the end of the season.
