Tony Jones Jr. (born November 24, 1997) is an American football running back for the National Football League’s Seattle Seahawks (NFL). He was a Notre Dame football player in college.
Jones went to St. Petersburg Catholic High School before transferring to IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. In high school, he participated in baseball and football. He had 78 carries for 514 yards and 11 touchdowns as a senior. Jones took part in the 2015 US Army All-American Bowl. He committed to play college football at the University of Notre Dame.
Tony Jones Sr. played fullback and linebacker for Illinois State as well as the Arena Football League’s Cleveland Thunderbolts, Tampa Bay Storm, and Buffalo Destroyers.
Jones majored in Film, Television, and Theatre at Notre Dame. Jones shot his first film during the 2019 college football season, a short film called “Come Together,” which he co-wrote and directed with classmate Conor Fitzgerald and starred football teammate Ovie Oghoufo and fellow FTT student and stage actress Teagan Earley.
