Sizemore’s maternal grandpa was of French and Native American ancestry. After attending Wayne State University, he earned a master’s in theatre from Temple University in 1986. Afterwards, he moved to New York City and struggled, working as a waiter and a playwright.

Sizemore spoke about his rise to fame, the consequences of his years of drug misuse, his run-ins with the authorities, and his relationship with Heidi Fleiss on a Dr Phil show titled “Explosive Relationships” in 2013. The 138th episode of Season 11 aired on April 18, 2013.

2014 began with the release of an audio in which Sizemore claimed that Elizabeth Hurley, a former girlfriend, had an affair with Bill Clinton in 1998. Sizemore said the claim was untrue after being threatened with legal action. He went on to state that the recording was made when he was struggling with substance use without his knowledge.
