Thomas William Stevenson Rowbotham who is known by his stage name Tom Owen was a British actor. He was born in April 1949. After graduating from high school, Owen embarked on an acting career and trained as an apprentice stage manager at Leatherhead Theatre in 1966.
He worked there for a year before leaving to accept a similar position at the Westminster Theatre. Owen returned to the repertory theater in Sidmouth, Devon, after spending four years working in television, where he continued to act and direct plays.
Owen was cast to portray the long-lost son of his father just a few days after he had passed away.
