Tom Jones’s cause of death: How did Tom Jones die?

Tom Jones was born in Littlefield, Texas, Jones died after struggling with viral laryngitis, an inflammation of the voice box (larynx) often caused by overuse, irritation, or infection.  Jones was 95 and passed from cancer, his son said.

Tom Jones faced health challenges leading up to his passing. In 2017, he underwent a left hip replacement due to problems with his legs. However, the surgery seemed to lead to further complications.

Jones started his theater career in New York writing for the revues being staged by the impresario Julius Monk, working with another composer, John Donald Robb. He played the part of the Old Actor, from when the musical opened in 1960, and from April 26, 2010, to June 6, 2010. He was credited as an actor in the show as Thomas Bruce.
