Tom Jackson, star of the Netflix series Queer Eye, passed away at the age of 63 after a fight with metastatic adenocarcinoma, a gland cancer that has spread to other parts of the body.
The news was announced on the Queer Eye Instagram, where presenters Tan France and Jonathan Van Ness expressed their sorrow at the passing of their buddy, who appeared on the premiere of the Netflix relaunch in 2018.

According to his obituary, Jackson passed away on March 3 at Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Georgia, where he had spent his last moments with loved ones.
Together with the rest of his family, he is survived by his daughter Katie Phelps, his two grandchildren Chandler and Watson Phelps, and his sisters Kozetta Stewart and Jackie Lynn Childers.
For Jackson, being on Queer Eye was the “highlight” of his life.
