To break the eight we must first break the norm – Kwaku Kwarteng

The Minister of Finance, Kwaku Kwarteng from the NPP party, has recently been under scrutiny for the poor performance of the party.

Despite this, Ato Forson is encouraging voters not to be discouraged from voting based on the NPP’s performance. Meanwhile, Mahama Ayariga has described Bawumia as incompetent and advised against voting for him.

In response, Mahama has criticized Bawumia, stating that Ghanaians want his experienced leadership instead of Bawumia’s inexperience. However, Stephen Amoah defends Bawumia, stating that he is already engaging with the media in preparation for the upcoming presidential debate.

Additionally, a pro-NPP group has been launched to support the party’s “Break the 8” campaign, while Farouk Aliu Mahama is confident in securing 50% of North Region votes for Bawumia. Despite these efforts, Prof Frimpong-Boateng has expressed that the current state of the NPP is not attractive to him.

Ato Forson has criticized the 2024 mid-year budget review, labeling it as “hopeless” and indicating that it shows the NPP is destined for opposition. The Minority Leader also added that the NPP government lacks new ideas, further highlighting the challenges the party is currently facing.
