Tom Hanks is disappointed that he won’t be competing against Tim Allen at the box office.
Hanks was questioned about his new movie “Elvis” opening up in theaters at the same time as “Lightyear” in a clip from an interview with CinemaBlend that was shared on the publication’s Instagram feed.
Tim Allen not doing “Lightyear” voice, according to Tom Hanks
Buzz Lightyear, who was voiced by Tim Allen in the “Toy Story” series, is the main subject of “Lightyear,” a prequel to “Toy Story.” Hanks provided the voice for Woody in those movies.
However, Pixar chose Chris Evans to voice the lead character in “Lightyear” rather than Allen.
Allen recently admitted to “Extra” that he had made an effort to keep out of the discussion around his rejection for the prequel.
Additionally, he claimed that without Hanks’ character, the film is of a different caliber.
Without Woody, Allen claimed, “Buzz from Toy Story truly doesn’t exist.”
