Thuy Trang was a Vietnamese-born American actress most known for her role as Trini Kwan, the Yellow Ranger, on the television series ‘Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.’ Trang, who was born in Saigon, South Vietnam, to a South Vietnamese army (ARVN) soldier, and her family were forced to flee their nation when she was two years old.
They boarded a cargo ship bound for Hong Kong in stealth, along with hundreds of other persecuted Southern Vietnamese citizens, with the ultimate goal of reaching the United States.
