Throwback photo of Gyakie in primary 3 trends on social media

Ghanaian singer Jackline Acheampong, also known as Gyakie, has posted a sentimental snapshot from her primary school days at Mizpah International School on Instagram.

The photo was shot when she was in Class 3 at Mizpah. Gyakie reminisced about the day the photo was shot on her Instagram Story, recalling her joy after getting an award at school.

She remembered how her mother looked forward to the event, which she assumed was an annual Awards Giving Day at Mizpah School.

Gyakie noted that despite the occasion’s significance, all she could think about was playing with her pals, which is why her look in the photo was muted.

Gyakie’s mother, Mrs Miriam Acheampong, is the wife of famed Ghanaian singer Nana Acheampong.

Mrs Miriam Acheampong, Gyakie’s mother and the wife of famed Ghanaian singer Nana Acheampong, was spotted smiling with pleasure as she clutched her daughter’s hand to accept the prize.

The message created a flood of nostalgia among Gyakie’s old classmates, with many recalling the special day.

Some even related stories from their school days with Gyakie, while others couldn’t help but comment on Mrs Acheampong’s unusual footwear choice in the photo.
