Three men have been convicted of murdering rapper XXXTentacion in a 2018 shooting incident. Michael Boatwright, Trayvon Newsome, and Dedrick Williams were found guilty on Monday after the jury had been deliberating since March 8.

The incident occurred at a motorcycle dealership in South Florida, where prosecutors say XXXTentacion was the victim of a robbery and was shot while in his vehicle. The attackers fled with $50,000 in cash and a Louis Vuitton bag.

The defendants were charged with first-degree murder with a firearm and armed robbery. During closing arguments last month, defense attorney Joseph Kimok claimed that the DNA found on the rapper’s body and necklace did not belong to any of the accused.

A fourth man, Robert Allen, was also arrested in connection with the murder. However, he pleaded guilty to second-degree murder last year and agreed to testify against the other three suspects. Allen expressed hesitation about the robbery and even urged the others to abandon the plan at the time.

The death of XXXTentacion was a shock to the rap community, and his fans continue to mourn his loss to this day.
