The late Thor Sverre Nilsen was a Norwegian competition rower. He competed in the 1952 Summer Olympics. He is known to have developed national training centers in several countries and was at one point the National rowing coach for Norway and Sweden. He also spent time as the Technical director and head coach for Spain and Italy.
