French professional golfer Thomas Levet participates on the European Tour and was formerly a PGA Tour player. Thomas Jean Roger Levet was born in Paris on September 5, 1968; his full name is Thomas Jean Roger Levet.
In 1988, Levet won the French PGA Championship. It was also the year he became pro. In 1991, he made his debut on the European Tour. He competed there for the next six seasons before splitting 1994 between the European Tour and the PGA Tour.
He only participated in the European Tour three times in 1996 before being dropped to the less competitive Challenge Tour. He was able to regain his European Tourcard by winning the Cannes Open in April 1998, a competition he had gained access to through the French Golf Federation.
After competing on the PGA Tour in 2003, he returned to the European Tour in 2004. He participated on the winning 2004 European Ryder Cup team and won the Scottish Open, the most significant event of his career. After concluding the season in fifth place on the Order of Merit, Levet returned to the PGA Tour in 2005.
Levet suffers from severe vertigo, which almost made him stop playing. Nevertheless, he has improved in his recovery and has cracked the top 50 of the Official World Golf Rankings.
