2016 year has seen massive celebrity endorsements of the various political parties and presidential candidates as the December 7 polls approaches. Over the years, a few celebrities engage in political activities publicly but this year has completely changed.
From Kumawood/Ghallywood to the music industry, politicians have had top celebrities or entertainers throwing their weights behind them. Some were obvious but others came as a big surprise.
Endorsements from John Dumelo, Wisa Greid, Agya Koo, Matilda Asare, Nana Quame, Socrates Safo and Big Akwes came as a surprise but what was beyond shock is the endorsement by Gospel musician Cwesi Oteng.
The “God Dey Bless Me” hitmaker, on Saturday (Sept. 10) publicly endorsed the New Patriotic Party presidential candidate Nana Akufo Addo via Twitter. Oteng said the New Patriotic Party flagbearer is a ‘breath of fresh air’ Ghana needs.
“I would like to show my support for Nana Akufo-Addo and to fully endorse him to be our next POGH. I believe Ghana needs a breath of fresh air,” he tweeted.

And Nana Addo was happy so he responded.

He later visited Nana in his office and started campaigning for him. This generated a lot of talk on social media but what people are currently talking about is a certain comment he left on President John Dramani Mahama’s Instagram post 5 days ago. His comment suggests his love for Mahama even though he has declared his political stance.
