Dreams FC striker John Antwi has expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance this season, highlighting their success in the Ghana Premier League, FA Cup, and CAF Confederations Cup as a major achievement.
The Still Believe lads, who are the current FA Cup champions, recently made history by qualifying for the semifinals of the Confederation Cup after defeating Stade Malien. They are now set to face Zamalek in the next stage of the competition.
Antwi praised the team’s overall performance, especially considering their inexperience in playing in multiple competitions simultaneously. He acknowledged that reaching this stage in all three tournaments is a significant milestone for the club.
“We have come a long way as a small club competing in the FA Cup quarterfinals, Confederations Cup semifinals, and the Ghana league,” Antwi said. “Considering the young squad we have, I believe this season has been very good for us.”
Dreams FC has already arrived in Egypt for their clash against Zamalek, with the hope of continuing their impressive campaign in the Confederation Cup. The team, led by coach Karim Zito, is optimistic about their chances of reaching the final of the competition.
Zito reassured fans that, aside from Sylvester Simba experiencing minor thigh pain, the rest of the players are in good physical condition for the upcoming match.
