David Adedeji Adeleke, better known as Davido, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record producer of American origin.
David was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and raised in Lagos, Nigeria; he made his musical debut as a member of the band KB International.
He attended Oakwood University for business administration before leaving out to produce beats and record vocal references.
David rose to prominence with the release of “Dami Duro,” the second single from his first studio album Omo Baba Olowo (2012), from which six further singles were taken: “Back When”, “Ekuro”, “Overseas”, “All of You”, “Gbon Gbon”, and “Feel Alright”.
As of August 2021, Davido is the second most followed African on the social media app Instagram. He has many awards under his belt currently and is a worldwide superstar.
However, the most gifted act in Africa was in the news after his emotional video with his dad surfaced on the internet. After arriving at his father’s house for Christmas, Davido promptly knelt down to meet him.
