The Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) has made a significant announcement regarding the nomination process for its Most Popular Song of the Year category. After a one-week window for errors and omissions, TGMA has decided to reinstate Amerado’s “Kwaku Ananse” as a contender for the coveted title.

In a press release issued on Monday, April 15th, 2024, TGMA shared details of the corrections made during the evaluation period. One of the key changes made by the board was the acknowledgment of an oversight in initially categorizing Amerado’s hit track, “Kwaku Ananse,” as a Best Highlife Song nominee in its remix version. The board recognized the original rendition’s immense popularity and significance in the music industry.

This decision highlights TGMA’s commitment to fairness and accuracy in its award selection process. By allowing for corrections and revisions, the organization ensures that deserving artists and songs receive the recognition they deserve.
