Reggae Dancehall artiste Ras Kuuku has expressed his disappointment at not being nominated in the Male Vocalist Category at the Ghana Music Awards.
Despite consistently submitting his work for consideration, Ras Kuuku is yet to receive a nomination in this category.
In an interview on TV3’s New Day, Ras Kuuku stated that he believes he has the best vocal delivery and should be a contender for the Male Vocalist award every year. He added that many Ghanaians and his fans have questioned why he is repeatedly overlooked for this category.
Artist manager and entertainment pundit, Sammy Flex, weighed in on the issue, suggesting that the cut-off point for the Male Vocalist category may be the reason behind Ras Kuuku’s snub. Flex acknowledged Ras Kuuku’s vocal prowess but explained that the selection process for nominations could be a factor in his exclusion.
