A teacher from the Mesquite Independent School District (MISD) in Texas has been separated from her position following the discovery of offensive and racist posts on her social media account.
The district expressed strong condemnation for the statements, asserting that they do not align with MISD’s values and standards.
The teacher, using the social media name Claire Kyle, made disturbing remarks, including expressing upset over her sister dating a white man and joking about asking her boyfriend to harm him.
She also referred to herself as a “Black Supremacist” in her account bio.
MISD officials became aware of the alarming posts and took action, resulting in the teacher’s removal from the school.
The teacher acknowledged that the school had learned about her posts, but she claimed her job was secure since she did not directly wish harm on all white people.
She had taught third grade for three years at Thompson Elementary School and had been with the district for four years.
