In a tragic incident, a young woman lost her life in Dallas, Texas, when her boyfriend shot her dead after she got an abortion in another state.
Gabriella Gonzalez, 26, was with her boyfriend, Harold Thompson, 22, in a Dallas parking lot when he attempted to put her in a chokehold after returning from Colorado, where she had the abortion.
The arrest warrant affidavit claimed that Thompson, the father of the child, did not want Gonzalez to get an abortion.
Surveillance footage from the parking lot shows Gonzalez shrugging off Thompson’s chokehold, after which he shoots her in the head and then multiple times as she falls to the ground.
Thompson was arrested shortly after the incident and is now being held without bond in the Dallas county jail on murder charges.
He had a previous charge of assault of a family member in March, where the woman he allegedly assaulted also claimed that he had beaten her up multiple times throughout their relationship.
She further added that she was afraid of Thompson, who had threatened to harm her family and children.
