When an adolescent pro-life canvasser arrived at her house on Sunday, a Kansas woman reportedly assaulted him.
Grace Hartsock, the student, was canvassing voters in Kansas for a referendum on abortion restrictions on Tuesday. According to Students for Life, the group with whom Hartsock was helping, the event occurred when she approached a residence in Leawood.
When Hartsock explained why he had knocked, a woman answered the door and respectfully informed him she was not interested.
“No, I’m sorry,” the lady responded, “I don’t believe you want to talk to us.”
Hartsock turned to leave when another woman’s voice yelled and cursed from farther within the home.
According to SFL, the woman shouted, “Don’t apologize to her, mum!”
The second lady, whose name has not been revealed, is said to have followed Hartsock out of the residence while berating her. According to SFL, the lady shoved Hartsock in the chest and began punching her in the head with clenched hands.
Hartsock endured the abuse until the woman’s mother persuaded her daughter to stop. However, the lady kept ranting, telling Hartsock, “I hope you get raped,” and “I hope you get run over by a car,” according to SFL.
