Teddy Gentry, a founding member of the musical group Alabama. He was born on January 22, 1952 (age 70 years), in Fort Payne, Alabama, United States. Alabama is one of the great country bands that has existed since 1969.
The group began in 1969 when Teddy, Randy Owen, and Jeff Cook won a local talent contest. The Alabama group had an original name and Country, but it later changed to Alabama in 1977.
Teddy Gentry is mostly known for his great skills with the bass guitar, not only does he play he is also a vocalist of the band.
Teddy Gentry was arrested Monday morning in Cherokee County, Alabama for unlawful possession of weed and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
Recreational marijuana is strictly prohibited in Alabama. Teddy was released 30 minutes after he was booked and freed on his recognizance, that is without bail. Both charges are misdemeanors.
It’s safe to say Teddy Gentry has learned a valuable lesson as to never use drugs.
