In Leicester’s humid environment, England scored 371-7 after being put in to bat. This is their fifth-highest ODI total and falls just seven runs short of their record against Pakistan in 2016.
In her 119 off 107 balls, Beaumont hammered 19 fours and a six, sharing a century-opening stand with Emma Lamb, who scored 65.
After accomplishing this feat for the first time in the second ODI, England’s top four all scored more than 50 runs once more thanks to Sophia Dunkley’s 51-run follow-up to her first ODI century and captain Heather Knight’s 49-ball 63.
The tourists were defeated 109-4 after Laura Wolvaardt responded with an impressive 56 before Charlie Dean withdrew her for the third time in the match.
The chase was given life by Chloe Tryon (70 off 57 balls) and Marizanne Kapp (62 off 54), who put on 110 for the fifth wicket.
However, when both fell within a five-over span, England was able to get rid of the rest of the South African team and bowl them out for 262.
