He does, however, have an elder brother named Kenta and two additional brothers about whom little is known.

Minamino scored his first goal for Liverpool in a 4–0 home triumph over Arsenal on November 20, 2021. Minamino scored a last-minute equalizer against Leicester City in the EFL Cup on December 22, 2021. The game was finally decided on penalties, and despite Minamino’s miss, Liverpool won 5–4 on penalties.

Minamino was an unused replacement as Liverpool won the championship by defeating Chelsea 10–11 on penalties in the final on February 27.

Minamino scored three goals in a 3–1 win over Cardiff City in the FA Cup fourth round on February 6, 2022, and two more in the fifth round to propel Liverpool to the quarter-finals.
