Takara Clark was raised in Washington, DC, where she was born.
Takara was the youngest of two children. She never had a political bent, therefore she spent most of her teens as a student-athlete with implausible ambitions to be an Olympic gymnast and a lawyer.
She graduated from the School Without Walls while attending DC Public Schools.
Takara is a singer, rapper, songwriter, voice artist, actress, model, writer, producer, and travel enthusiast.
She has made appearances on stage, on screen, and on the web. Takara, who received the Emerging Artist Award in Media Arts in Atlanta in 2013, took a detour in 2019 and began co-hosting “The Big Chair Podcast” in Washington, DC.
