Generally, as part of the efforts to celebrate this year’s annual Akwambo festival by the entire chiefs and the people of Agona Swedru, the Swedruman Council of Chiefs has appointed a 14-member committee to ensure the adequate and smooth successive organization of the upcoming event.
However, chaired by Ebusuapanyin Kwaitoo of the Oguaaman, the royal kingmakers of the entire town, who also doubles as the head of the Yogo Clan, the committee is assigned to endure and maintain an adequate and official launching of the event on February 17th, 2024.
In addition, other members were drawn from the municipality assembly, including religious organizations and other groups, as well as the exceptional traditional authorities.
Meanwhile, this year’s celebration is expected to mark the first of the new chiefs of the township, Nana Oduro Kwarteng, yet to be enstooled. Exceptional activity was noted nationwide.
They extended their grateful invitations to both outsiders and others in the township to ensure everyone attended this special occasion, helping everyone in the entire community to learn and allocate something vital.
