American actress, novelist, singer, businesswoman, and health advocate Suzanne Marie Somers died on October 15, 2023. She was born on October 16, 1946. Her television roles include Carol Foster Lambert on Step by Step from 1991 to 1998 and Chrissy Snow on Three’s Company from 1977 to 1981.

Later, Somers published a number of works, including four diet books, a book of poetry, two memoirs, and two books on diet.

She received harsh criticism for her 2006 book, Ageless: The Naked Truth About Bioidentical Hormones, which discussed the controversial menopause treatments, the Wiley protocol and bioidentical hormone replacement therapy. The American Cancer Society condemned her 2009 book Knockout for advocating alternative cancer treatments.
