British former professional race car driver Suzanne Wolff MBE.
Her father participated in competitive motorcycle racing, and her parents, John and Sally Stoddart, ran a motorcycle business in Oban.
Susie Wolff began her professional motorsport career more than 20 years ago on the karting circuit, much like so many of her racing contemporaries. Susie began her career in karting, Formula Renault, and DTM for Mercedes-Benz before making history at the 2014 British Grand Prix when she took part in a Formula 1 race weekend for the first time in 22 years.
Following her retirement from racing in 2015, Susie created Dare To Be Different in 2016, a call to action that is specifically focused on fostering female talent by encouraging the next generation and increasing female participation in all facets of motorsport.
This was done as part of her commitment to fostering positive change within the sport and came after Susie’s retirement from driving in 2015.
