Survivor star Sonja Christopher dies at 87

Sonja Christopher, known for her appearance on Survivor, has sadly passed away at the age of 87.

The news was revealed by Survivor Season 46 star Liz Wilcox on social media, where she paid tribute to the Survivor legend.

Sonja was a part of the first season of Survivor back in 2000, where she made history as the first person to be sent home. Despite her early exit, Sonja’s presence on the show left a lasting impact on fans and contestants alike. Liz Wilcox shared a heartfelt message on X, formerly known as Twitter, expressing her admiration for Sonja and the joy she brought to the Survivor community.

In addition to her time on Survivor, Sonja was a music therapist until she retired in 2020. She would visit retirement homes with her banjo, singing songs with seniors and bringing them moments of joy and nostalgia. Sonja’s kind and caring nature extended beyond the television screen, touching the lives of those around her.

Fans and fellow Survivor enthusiasts took to social media to express their condolences and remember Sonja’s contributions to the show. Many praised her for paving the way for future Survivor contestants and remembered her as a true legend of the series.
