Supreme Council of La Agbawɛ swears in Nii Sowah Gbɔbilɔ Djata II as Chief of Oyarifa

Nii Sowah Gbɔbilɔ Djata II has been sworn in as Chief of Oyarifa by the Supreme Council La Agbawɛ, which is headed by La Agbawɛ Mantsɛ Miyemliniaba Nii Adjei Asua Oweeni II.

Nii Sowah Gbɔbilʔ Djata II, the rightful chief of Oyarifa, was sworn in as the Agbawe Mantsū, Miyemliniaba Nii Adjei Asua Oweeni II, by the authority bestowed upon him professionally by the Agbawe Akutso and the Supreme Council of La-Agbawe. This decision was made with extreme wisdom.

For the last forty (40) years, the Oyarifa Stool has been empty.

During the vibrant ceremony, the houses that make up the Supreme Council of La Agbawɫ were present on the council’s premises: Jaasetse Nii Rapheal Mensah, Nii Kplen Stephen Adjei Akporh, Nii Owusu, Nii Asua, Nii Awua, Nii Kpobi, and Nii Oleenu.

Asafoatse Gbagbe, Asafoatse Asua, Otsaame Nukpa-Last, Otsaame Fio-Moses, and Nii Akporh Larsey, the secretary to the Supreme Council, are the other individuals.

With assistance from Jaasetse and Nii Raphael Mensah, Dzata took the oath of allegiance in front of Miyemliniaba Nii Adjei Asua Oweeni II.

Rain or shine, day or night, except illness, he pledged to be there when called.

In response to the oath, La Agbaw Mantsś Miyemliniaba Nii Adjei Asua Oweeni II declared that barring illness, Nii Sowah Gbɔbilɔ Djata II is required to answer his calls whenever possible.

“I, (quoted) La Agbawɛ Mantsɛ, am engaged because I have pledged before La Agbawɛ that I will ensure to answer the phone calls, anytime it rings. We will take away the authority we have given you today if you do not answer the call. God bless us all. As part of the swearing-in ceremony, La Agbawə Mantsś Nii Adjei Asua Oweeni II indicated.
