Super yacht sinks off Italy’s coast

A superyacht measuring nearly 130 feet sunk off the coast of southern Italy on Saturday. Luckily, members of the Italian Coast Guard rescued all nine people on board including four passengers and five crew members.

The yacht was built in Italy in 2007, according to Super Yacht Times, and was traveling from Gallipoli to Milazzo under a Cayman Islands flag with a full Italian crew when it sunk.

The Italian press reported that the yacht bearing the name “My Saga” sunk off the coast of Catanzaro Marina just this weekend. The yacht had a 39.4-meter motor.

An investigation will soon take place to know what had caused the yacht to sink.

Someone in the rescuer’s boat had shared a Video from the scene. The video shows the massive boat teetering into the water before fully sinking stern-first.
