Netflix reports that ‘Stranger Things 4’ has surpassed the billion-hour viewing mark.

Stranger Things 4 has received 1.15 billion hours of viewing time in its first 28 days, covering both seasons.

The first seven episodes accounted for 930.32 million hours in their first 28 days, while episodes eight and nine accounted for little under 221 million hours of the 301.28 million hours globally for the week of June 27-July 3. (In the event of split seasons, such as Stranger Things and Ozark earlier this year, Netflix only counts the watching time of the second set of episodes toward the 28-day total.)

Season four has shattered multiple watching records, including the largest launch weekend for a Netflix series according to the streamer’s own measurements and Nielsen’s greatest weekly viewership count in the United States since the firm began publishing weekly streaming rankings.

Despite being accessible for only three days, the last two episodes; which span over four hours together, accounted for nearly three-quarters (73%) of Stranger Things season four viewership last week. The first three seasons have also remained in Netflix’s English language top ten for the last month and a half.
