Stranger Things 4: Joseph Quinn practices Metallica’s “Master Of Puppets”

The Stranger Things writers honored Joseph Quinn’s excellent guitar playing by tweeting a video of him practicing Metallica’s “Master of Puppets” on Twitter. One of the final scenes from Season 4, Volume 2 features Eddie Munson (Quinn) trying to entice the demo-bats away from the Creel home and his newfound friends by shredding his electric guitar.

Quinn wasn’t supposed to carry the Metallica song by herself.

The solo was assisted by bassist Tye Trujillo, who is the son of Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo.

Metallica gave a hearty thumbs up to Quinn’s performance and the use of the song in the Netflix thriller.

Quinn portrayed a metalhead-turned-small-time drug dealer in the fourth season of the show who manages the Hellfire Club and plays in the band Corroded Coffin. Additionally, the fan of Dungeons and Dragons was falsely accused of murder.

Quinn’s performances in Dickensian, Howard’s End, and Les Misérables were his most well-known roles prior to Stranger Things. He also portrayed Catherine the Great’s son opposite Helen Mirren.
