The story of a 4-year-old girl who was allegedly
defiled by a community member at Assin Adadientem in the Central Region has
sparked an intensifying social media outrage. According to the story which was
carried by Myjoyonline, the mother of
the victim is calling for justice after the chief of the community told her
that the suspect has been declared innocent by the community gods, and
therefore action cannot be taken against the suspect.
Since the publication of the story, there has been
an increasing outrage on social media in reaction to the story. On Twitter, the hashtag #DOSOMETHING has
been coined to facilitate the agitations on the platform. Leading the crusade
