Film director Steven Bognar was born in the United States in 1963. He is a Sundance, SXSW, and Ann Arbor Film Festival-screened documentary director with an Oscar and other accolades. Additionally, he has experience teaching media arts in public schools all around his native Ohio as well as at Antioch College.
He works with Julia Reichert quite a bit. Bognar has created a documentary filmmaking aesthetic that emphasizes the use of photographic material and centers on the Midwestern region of the United States.
