Steve Flickinger was an American producer who died recently at age 62.
He won a Tony Award for producing the hit musical Dear Evan Hansen after working as a Disney executive on Newsies and The Lion King, has died.
Flickinger worked on Mulan, Tarzan, and Lilo & Stitch as director of creative development for Walt Disney Feature Animation, then as VP of creative development for the Disney Theatrical Group, where he oversaw the launch of a half-dozen Broadway productions, including The Lion King and Aida.

He died after a brief ailment.
He volunteered with organizations such as the AIDS Walk, the Los Angeles Food Mission, and the Race to End MS.
His siblings Joan, Jan, Michael, and Emily are his survivors.
Flickinger was also the executive producer of The Bourbon Room’s Rock of Ages. The show starred Nick Cordero, who died in July 2020 at the age of 41 following a long fight with COVID-19.
According to his niece, Fickinger’s planned projects included Live at the Crescendo Club: An Evening With Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, and Pearl Bailey, which was scripted and directed by Seret Scott and produced by Deniece Williams.
