Stephen Colbert comes from a family of eleven children of the late Lorna Elizabeth Tuck Colbert and her late husband Dr. James W Colbert Jr.
He happens to be the youngest among the eleven children of his parents, hence, he has 10 older siblings who have been identified as James III, Edward, Mary, William, Margo, Thomas, Jay, Elizabeth, Paul and Peter.
As it stands, three out of the ten siblings of Colbert are no more; two of them passed away with their father in a plane crash in 1974.

William is also no more. He happens to be the third sibling of Stephen who passed away. He was a deputy chief counsel of the Treasury Department’s Bureau of Engraving and Printing. He passed away on August 14, 1999, at Inova Mount Vernon Hospital after a stroke. He was 49 at the time of his death.

Elizabeth is an American economist and politician who is the Director of Business Development at Clemson University’s Restoration Institute and was the Democratic Party nominee for the 2013 special election for South Carolina’s 1st congressional district, losing to Mark Sanford.
She was born on December 10, 1954, in St. Louis, Missouri, United States, hence, she is 68 years old now. She is married to Claus Wyman Busch III. She has three children with her ex-husband Robert Legare: Mary Legare Middleton (grandchildren Elizabeth Ann and Thomas Bradley Middleton Jr.); Robert Walker Legare Jr; and Catherine Ann Legare.
