Australian politician Mr. Bromhead, 66, took over for John Turner, who had held the Myall Lakes seat ever since it was created in 1988, and began serving the NSW Mid North Coast in 2011.
Since March 26, 2011, Stephen Bruce Bromhead has served as the National Party’s representative for Myall Lakes in the New South Wales Legislative Assembly.
Bromhead began his career as a nurse and has two degrees as a registered nurse. Afterwards, he joined the New South Wales Police Service, where he spent most of his 12 years working, first as a detective and later as a general duties officer, largely in and around Taree and the surrounding districts.

The actual cause of Stephen’s death has not been disclosed yet However, it has been confirmed that Bromhead had battled crippling mesothelioma cancer.
NSW Deputy Premier Paul Toole confirmed Mr Bromhead’s passing. The former Myall Lakes MP was honoured by Toole, who called him one of the area’s most ardent supporters.
