Stefan de Vrij, a Dutch professional footballer who plays center back for Serie A club Inter Milan and the Netherlands national team, was born on February 5, 1992.
He started his career with his neighborhood team VV Spirit and made his professional debut for Feyenoord at the age of 17. Prior to joining Lazio in July 2014, he played five seasons for the Eredivisie club, temporarily holding the position of captain.
De Vrij, a full international since 2012, has racked up more than 50 appearances for the Netherlands. He was chosen for the Castrol Performance Index Team of the Tournament and played for the Dutch team that placed third at the 2014 FIFA World Cup. He participated in the 2020 UEFA Euro.
